I started collecting in October of 1998. I was looking through one of the woman's magazines on my lunch break and came accross a decorating article that featured some head vases. My thoughts went right back to my childhood, remembering them in my Mom's friend's parlors. I was instantly hooked.

I started searching by calling every antique and consignment shop in my area. I found only one and she is my "baby" head that I located in a consignment shop, that the following week went out of business because they had lost their lease. Boy, was I ever lucky to have found her.

My most exciting find was my Madonna head that I found at a yard sale for one dollar. I was even happier when I found her picture in my K. Cole encyclopedia.

I have started a photo album of my ladies and on the back of each photo where I found them, their size, how much I paid, and any other little tidbit that might be interesting.

I have been married for 26 years and my family consists of my husband and 5 year old Abbie the cat. I also do counted cross stitch and collect spoons.
