Show & Tell by Doretha Jones
Hi! I started collecting head vases a few months ago and am
now truly addicted! Believe it or not what started the whole thing was
finding two at a barn sale out in the country where the family was selling
all the belongings of two great aunts that had passed away. They were
thrown into a box with some pottery, not wrapped or in any way protected.
One is in perfect condition but the other had lost her hand at one point it
looks like and it had been reglued quite badly. I got them each for 50
cents! I reattached the hand so that that lady still displays quite nicely.
From there the obsession started and every day I scan ebay for new vases!
I'd love to send you pics of these two first ones as show and tell. I am
also a fellow Texan even though I live in Florida now. My mother lives in
Stonewall near Fredericksburg and I will probably be out there near the end
of the year, I'll have to look you up in Austin! (By the way I have always
believed Austin to be the coolest city in Texas even though I was born in
Dallas and I am a Texas A&M grad!)

Comments: Doretha - I would say that Austin is the "hottest" city
right now - 100 degrees for 20 straight days!!!!!! But yes, I think
its a cool city too - I hope everyone will come to visit me and my ladies!
