My first box was a little apple that I ordered out of a catalog. I soon ordered a rooster out of the same catalog and then bought an easter egg at a local store. Not too soon after that I heard a woman talking on the radio about Limoges boxes and that some people collect them. I thought, "What is that", and then I realized she was talking about hinged boxes. I had never heard of Limoges and didn't know what it was.(I soon found out). I thought that would be something nice to start collecting so I started buying every hinged box that I could find.I didn't realize what I was getting into.They started showing up EVERYWHERE and I just couldn't stop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have about 250 boxes in my collection. I have 3 Limoges, and LOTS of Midwests and lots of Fabulous Fakes. (I'm not picky) . I buy from Chrissy, order out of lots of catalogs, buy at local stores, and I have received many as gifts.

I always keep a look out for porcelain hinged boxes wherever I go. I just LOVE them !!!!!!!!
