Beware!!! Fake Heads!!This page takes forever to load with the addition of so many new FAKE head vases.04/08/2002 I've started a "Fake Heads Part 2" page. CLICK HERE to see the fake heads discovered after March 2002. 11/04/2001 I'm sure you will enjoy seeing this latest round of fakes. They are #'s 37 - 42 below - SIX more, and don't you just admire those HANDS.......... they look to me like something out of a horror show!!!!!!!!! Yikes!!!!!!!! While I thought some of the early fakes were pretty, they appear to be getting cheaper and UGLIER! These came from eBay of course and eBay is so worried about sellers linking back to their websites but doesn't seem at all concerned with sellers misleading buyers. eBay has their priorities all screwed up. The seller in the add for this round of "dogs" calls them out in her add as: "in EXCELLENT condition with no chips or cracks to be found.......It is not too often that you find a set of six headvases. What a GREAT start for your headvase collection!" Ohhhhhhhhh give me a break will ya!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?? What's next?! 09/18/2001 Someone sent me the pictures of this new set of 6 heads - they are labeled #'s 31-36 and I'm calling them FAKES because if you notice, they apear to be direct copies of the Cameo Girls. 09/05/2001 Thanks Jackie - this # 30 FAKE looks like she could be #29's sister. Isn't she just a babe............ I think the two of them would make for a nice cookie jar, throw all those oreos right in there! 08/08/2001 Jackie noticed this one in ebay - let's call her #29. I also passed her by at a gift show in June of this year. She was the BIGGEST head I've ever seen - very strange looking! I did a double-take and just shook my head..................arggggggghhh! See the beast errrr I mean beauty below - identified as #29. 01/06/2001 These two gals have been making the ebay rounds lately.......... See #25 and #26 below. 09/26/2000 I spotted this new head vase today - I think it's a pretty one for a fake. See #24 below. 09/21/2000 Maddy just informed me of 7 NEW fakes in ebay this week. See the pictures below. 08/09/2000 Harriet spotted yet another new one in ebay. Looks like they are in full production once again, I'll bet we'll start seeing a new round of FAKES now. Check out Fake #16 below! The count is now up to SIXTEEN different fakes.....................
I was fooled into this FAKE myself, have a look at my Telephone Girl that I recently picked up. This head back in October 1999 was my first experience with these reproductions. There have been MANY MANY more spotted since this find. P.S. While I DID get fooled into buying this fake head as a buying collector, at no time did I ever offer or attempt to sale it as an original head - I believe dealers/sellers should be smart enough to know what they are selling. To put it bluntly, it's your responsibility as a seller to fully know what you are selling, how can you expect ANY of your merchandise to be credible if you haven't taken the time to determine the value/authenticity of an item. Everything you sell will be suspect. Wake up and smell the coffee! And worse yet, when somebody comes along and tells you it's FAKE and your auction text never gets updated - well, shame on you! Don't come here looking for sympathy. 03/06/00 - Check out this gal! Jillian spotted her - this gal could use some tips in how to apply makeup - LOL! CLICK HERE to view this beauty.

The seller is obviously a respectable seller/dealer, he knows what he's
selling and his ebay text clearly states that they are reproductions.
The seller does state in his ebay add that it is NEW - an honest seller - yeah!
I have the real head of this one - it has always been one of my favorites.
The add describes it as being in "beautiful condition" - hahahah - it should be - it's BRAND NEW!
There are several others in ebay this week, some already have been identified
as fakes, and a couple others are questionable.
Visit ebay and see for yourself - write the sellers a note and let them know that
you think it is wrong for them to sell a head with false advertising. If a head
is a reproduction (FAKE) why not just say that in the add where you are selling it.
The only reason I can see that you would not want to say it is a reproduction is because
you hope to fool someone into thinking it is a real head vase. In the long run though
I believe they are only hurting themselves because how can you find ANY of their
auctions to be credible.
