sets. I did not hear anything else from them and here they are today - so surprise, surprise, surprise. I have no idea how many sets they actually

Sorry, Encore emailed today and reported that they will NOT be producing the lovely cameo girl ornaments. Also,
in case you hadn't heard by now - they announced back in March that those January Cameo Girls would never be produced, no big surprise there.

I'm happy to report some GOOD news for a change! I walk into the Encore showroom today since
I am at the trade shows in Dallas. Of course, I am feeling crappy about going in there with the history of the 2007 designs pricing issue, etc....... then
I see these lovely Cameo Girl ornaments on display and I PERKED RIGHT UP! I really like them!!! The pictures are up and I'm accepting pre-orders.
I hope you like them too. Email me if you have any questions. If you place the pre-order, I do not charge your credit card until your order is ready
to ship and expected arrival on these ornament girls is March or April. I do not have any new news about the Cameo Girl 2007 heads that were resculpted, and
I did not order any of them. Encore knows all of our concerns, mainly the pricing issue. Hopefully this is being fixed - time will tell!

The pictures of the resculpted cameo girls proposed for 2007 are
now available. Four of the five designs have improved faces. However, we will NOT be selling them. There are other issues.
Most of you will agree that the prices are RIDICULOUS. Personally, I wouldn't rush out to order at those prices.
They will be around for a LONG time, or until the prices are reduced as they always seem to be. If you haven't seen the new pictures,
email me and I'll be happy to send them to you and I am interested to hear your feedback. Encore resculpted these heads
because they did not get any orders for the ugly ones that they had previously proposed. If you continue to give them no orders maybe the prices will also change! Are you really going to pay
$90.00 for one of those heads and $150.00 for the larger one (which by the way still has that odd looking face). Keep in mind that originally the cameo girl heads retailed for
$38.00 - that's right $38.00. What justifies this kind of price increase, a number on the bottom that says less than 500 AND less attention to detail?
And who designed them anyway? Whos name is on the bottom? To me, that is more important than a stupid number that says less
than 500. I want to see Debby Kaspari's name on the bottom, or on the box, or somewhere related to the vase. Now that MEANS something!
Would it justify a 90.00 price tag? You tell me. And how can these 2007 vases retail for $90.00 when the dealers are selling
the 2006 vases for $22.00 AND less. It's all just pathetic. Too bad it has come to this.

Two more cameo girls appeared on the QVC Victorian Show. You can order them in QVC. These do not look like Debby Kaspari designs and they made 750
of them. The style numbers are H02259 & H02265 Victorian Dreamer - or for the set H04458. You can put each in the search box at QVC.com to pull them up. I have no plans to order them or
to add them to the website. Interesting to note - if you look at "More Views" so you can view the top and bottom, they do not say Cameo girls or Encore on them.

And the story continues! I received an interesting phone call tonight. Encore has informed me that the designs for the
January 2007 releases are being RE-SCULPTED! Many of you have viewed the pictures that I emailed you
of the announced releases scheduled for January 200 - well, they have been RECALLED. None of them will be in the showrooms at the trade shows, they are being RE-WORKED.
The convention piece was supposedly approved and released as is, but the other 5 are being re-worked.
I'll announce here when I have new pictures to show you. I have not heard about any changes in the pricing.
If they improve, I'll be happy to reconsider a future with the Cameo Girls at our website.

We all knew that the January/June 2006 release was the last that Debby Kaspari would be designing of the Cameo Girls.
Well, this week the January 2007 pictures are out, same company, new designer. Christine's Closet and Chrissy.com will
NOT be moving forward with this collection. After my review of the pictures and prices, my excitement with the collection has "fizzled out" to say the least.
I will be looking for new products for our store, the money we won't be investing in Cameo Girls will be burning a hole in my pocket. If you have any suggestions, please email!!

pulled it up just by putting the name Blythe in the search box. She is only 38.75 - such a deal! You can direct
order her and they will mail her to you. The other one that is supposed to be in the Victorian show this Friday
has not yet showed up on their website so we may all have to watch QVC on Friday still.

This week a very interesting item appeared on Ebay - a design never before seen, Blythe 1890 "Cherished Heirloom".
I have received a lot of calls and inquiries about her and this is what I know to date:
She was produced by Encore as a custom piece for QVC and is supposed to be on the QVC show in an upcoming offering.
I do not know the date of the show but I am trying to find out. In the past QVC did a show with Debby Kaspari and sold the
Eve "Brush with Beauty". That piece was also available through all dealers, this new one is not (at least not as of this date).
The Cherished Heirloom is said to be a limited run of 750 pieces. The ebay auction ends on July 7th. I don't think I
will rush to bid this up if 749 more pieces are going to be available via QVC. But if you want to be the first to have it,

Other Cameo Girl news: The Cameo Girls line IS going to continue. While there were no new releases for June 2006, there ARE plans and drawings in the works. Yes, it is true that Debby Kaspari will no longer be designing for the line, she has moved on to different opportunites. We will miss her! Hopefully the new designers are as talented and creative as Debby.
Production has ceased on all of the current line and the original numbers that were supposed to be produced are in some cases cut in half! There will be changes in January 2007 on how the line is distributed. Encore will attempt to weed out these dealers that should never have been selling in the first place and hopefully this will improve on the values and collectiblity of the Cameo Girl line. So far, there are plans for making Cameo Girl "Ornaments", another version of "Roy", and several others from the current characters.
If you find out any information on the QVC offering, email me and I will post it here. I did see that QVC is still offering the Blythe 1898 "Victorian Violet" LV-077 for sale at the regular retail price of 45.00. Happy New Year!!
Thank you for all of the preorders on the new cameo girls!! Sorry for
all the price changes, although they were for the better, I know it was quite confusing!
The girls should be in stock end of January. Notice the new pink "preorder" sign, I made
this and still working on some others as our "friend" continues to steal the
graphics and pictures from our website. I've received emails from several of you,
yes, I'm aware of her visits and her copying.

Good news, those of you that preordered the new Cameo Girls, your orders will start
shipping next week! The "who can buy Sasha" drawing and luncheon plans are being made
and you'll receive details via email this week. I do hope you can come to Austin! We can
call it the first CHIC (Chrissy.com Head vase Interactive Community)
South Texas Chapter meeting as well, AND I'll have TWO Sasha's at the luncheon
for an additional drawing, AND some extra prizes from Christine's Closet.
Lastly, to ease the pain of NOT getting your name drawn from the hat, I'm giving Christine's
Closet gift certificates so everyone will be a winner of SOMETHING.
Other news - I posted the "quantities made" of the retired Cameo Girls on many of the listings at the site, still working to finish up the Eloise, Blythe, Angeline, and Abigail pages with this information. Notice that several of the girls - the actual quantity made is much lower than the amount they expected to make. So if you think your Deluxe girl was made in an edition of 1,500 or 2,500 pieces as stamped on her certificate, check the site for the actual numbers.
The convention was last weekend and what a hoot it was! I have a lot of pictures to post and hope to get to that this weekend. If you were there and want to email me some pictures, I can add them to the show & tell section.

Yeah! The January 2004 collection is now displayed on the website.
Pre-ordering is underway - thank you all, this preordering really helps
me manage the stock. I've explained the situation with the Convention
2004 head to all of you and I'm happy that everyone (except one person)
is understanding about it and agrees that the drawing is the way to go.
I did receive one "nasty" note about my drawing but I refuse to even address it, I'm
not getting involved in any bickering or whining about this head. Can you
picture this grown woman having a tantrum over "Sasha"?! I guess the
"Cabbage Patch" days must really have been a nightmare for the retailers.
Hey, there are about 3,000 plus heads in this world
to buy and if one is out of reach what a stupid thing to loose sleep
over......... anyway, I'm really looking forward to the drawing day - come to Austin and join us at the
"Sasha Lunch" which will be in January or February, whenever she arrives. If you
are crabby though, stay home.

ARRIVING VERY SOON!!!!! As of this weekend, we are no longer accepting
orders for the 2003 Convention Cameo Girl. We gave everyone the opportunity
to order with us, preorders were accepted from December 10th through
January 16th. Those of you that preordered, and followed through
with your preorders - thank you, we greatly appreciate your continued business
and support of our website!! We did get a confirmation that they will be
arriving soon and most all of you that ordered with us will be receiving a
confirmation email by months' end. If you want to confirm with us now,
feel free to email us, but please do not start calling on the phone to ask status. We do not have
the phone staff to handle these calls that can be handled easily by email. Repeat, do not call
to ask status of this head, email us instead.

I've started to put them up, Martina is posted so far. I have SIX more
to put up, including the convention 2003 Judith. You are all welcome to
preorder these 7 new girls, in fact I highly advise that you do preorder
as I will be filling the orders on a first-come, first serve basis.
I will not make any promises on the Convention head until they land
at my door. I will say that my regular customers who have been with
me since day one buying these girls will definately be first in line
for my convention heads. You ladies know who you are, and I do appreciate
that you continue to shop with us, because without you I could not afford

I've tried to mark all the ones that are retired and if they are still
showing as available, know that there are limited quantities remaining and

June 2002 announcements!!!! The 6 new Cameo
Girl Deluxe styles are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Pre-orders are being
accepted starting today. The Celeste 1934 is limited to 500 pieces and
the other 5 girls will have only 1,500 each made, so, do not hesitate to
order. I can not predict how long they will last, remember that
Abigail 1953 sold out in 1 week. Orders will be filled in the order of which they are received.
On pre-orders, your card is not charged until we send them out.

!!! Yes!!!!! My final
shipment of the Abigail Heads Up arrived today! All of you that
submitted orders will be getting your Abigail Heads Up next week along
with all the others that you ordered. We shut the order button off
on the Abigail Heads Up on Jan. 8th - the sign now says SOLD OUT,
and they really are SOLD OUT, please do not call and ask if you
can have one. We do not have anymore to sell. We also got a nice shipment
of the other Deluxe and new styles, don't hesitate to order on these because
they are selling just as fast as the Abigail Heads Up - instead of only 500,
there are 2,500 of the other deluxe girls so they are lasting a little longer.

they are Limited Editions. My first shipment will be here the 1st or 2nd week of

I just posted Sasha 1776 Stars & Stripes tonight. She is limited
to 2,500 pieces. Here are the others I will put up this weekend, and they
are all quite incredible!

Thursday 11/30/2000 A HUGE
shipment of the Cameo Girls arrived late today!!!!!!!! I suspect we'll be
filling most all of the preorders with this shipment and yet another big one coming
next week. We got just about every style in this shipment except LV-011,
you can see the "in stocks" marked on each of the ordering pages.
Kevin worked soooooooooo hard tonight, the pre-orders are boxed and
stacked to the ceiling! I'll be shipping these out on Monday.

Wednesday 11/08/2000 Following are the
styles that came in yesterday - a lot of your pre-orders have been boxed
up and are ready to go out. We are expecting more styles and quantities
to arrive Thursday and Friday so if the style you preordered is still not
in our arrival list, it's coming soon!
Now that I've got the heads here, I'm taking some close-up pictures of the opening at the top of the head and these pictures can be viewed from the FAQ page (Frequently Asked Questions!). The "vase opening" at the top of each girls' head is NOT like the original heads of the 50's & 60's. While they may take a little getting used to if comparing to the old antique heads, when United Design created this line, they chose to put the emphasis on the sculpture, paint and detail, while still keeping it as a lady head vase. The hole is appx. 3/4" diameter and the bud vase-size glass vial that fits inside is 3" long and is removeable. Please see the pictures on the FAQ page.

figure who gets what and what's left. I expect shipments all week - it feels
like Christmas around here!!

If you are intersted in ordering any of the other girls, it's best to order now because as my shipments come in I fill the orders on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please note, this first shipment that we recieved did not contain enough Cameo Girls to fill all of our pre-orders, we will continue to box up your pre-orders as new shipments and new styles arrive next week. Pre-orders are definately taking priority when we receive new inventory.
Friday 11/03/2000 Update: My first shipment of Cameo Girls arrived today!!! It's a BIG one but
not all of the styles came in. I will be getting lots more shipments throughout
November and December. Orders are being filled - we WILL be sending out partial orders
if you've pre-ordered several styles and not all of them are available at once.
